This quiet bungalow, located in the cool and picturesque hills of Tamil Nadu, offers residents the feeling of being far removed from the bustle of everyday life. And we were recently ranked 9th by Cond Nast Traveller.
On the first floor, three bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a living room, dining room and family room face the front and back lawns. The layout of this level also includes a large kitchen and a utility room next to it with a separate entrance. The foyer, heated by an antique wood-burning stove in perfect working condition, keeps the chimney constantly smoking. Pine wood floors, ceilings and cabinets, and exposed brick walls add to the chalet-like feel of the house. The ground floor of the house, accessed externally, includes a garage and two staff quarters with an attached bathroom. A separate cellar, which is also accessed externally and may be used as a storage space, completes the layout of the main structure on this property.Located on a plot of nearly half an acre, the property also includes a terraced lawn in front of the bungalow, and a large landscaped back garden, both of which burst into vivid colour with different flowers in the summer. In addition to its manicured hedges, small fish pond and charming stone walkways, the back garden includes a spacious gazebo equipped with a fireplace, perfect for outdoor breakfasts as the mist lifts over the hills in the distance. Another sit-out covered in rose creepers, offers a built-in swing seat for lazy summer afternoons. A sunny greenhouse, ideal for the amateur gardener, completes the garden`s layout. We are also proud to have won 18 prizes for the Kodi Flower Show last year. Yet again 1st Prize for the Best Garden in the whole of Kodi, for the second consecutive year in 2015 . Also 1 rolling cup for best rose garden, 1 rolling cup for best landscaping, 1st prize for best cut flowers and vegetables, and other miscellaneous prizes. In May 2016, we again won 10 prizes in the Kodi flower show, and proudly yet again the 1st prize for the Best Garden.
